The new PDF viewer allows end users to preview PDF documents with many options, like searching in the document content, zooming, printing or annotating documents. Note that we are using the PDF viewer of the browser currently used when accessing documents and options might be different from a browser to another.
When opening a PDF document with the Edge browser, the PDF viewer offers several options to search in the document and highlight keywords. Other options allows to zoom in or out, or print the document
With annotation features, users can add text or drawings to the document. These options might not be available with another browser, like Chrome. Annotated documents might be saved locally for the user.
Note that compliance documents cannot be changed if strict read permissions is applied to the library.
The PDF viewer brings new tools for a better experience when working with PDF documents.
